THE GORGE

Right where the woodlands end, the Gorge begins. The deep and six mile wide canyon is a massive scar on the land, creating a clear separation from the North and the Scorch. On the northern side, there is grass, trees, and life, while on the southern side there is hardly even a shrub. Three miles down at the bottom of the Gorge runs a nameless river that no one cars to name, for it is raging and it is certain death for any who dare attempt a swim, and certainly for an unlucky person who falls over the edge of the Gorge. There are a few very narrow and unreliable paths to the bottom, but the only purpose for going down there would be for something you don't want anyone finding out about; say a body, or meeting secretly with a Changling from the other side of the river.
